Tonight we all stayed in this communal traditional Maori hut. In order to be accepted into the Maori family we had to sing a song together . We sang "I want to break free" by queen. We had to abide by the rules which meant no shoes or food in the hut. We were also given a performance by the family members of the haka which we then got taught and had to perform in front of the girls. The next day we headed to Rotorua where we had a couple of hours in a geothermal ...

Today we walked nearly 20k up the mountain between two volcanoes. One of which features in lord of the rings (mount doom). The weather was low cloud pretty much the whole way round. It was meant to take 8 hours but we managed it in 5 hours 10 mins. Later that evening me and Mike (from Portsmouth) played a round of golf at the chateau hotel close to where we were staying. I lost.

Had a few hours this morning to explore Wellington. Only managed to make it to the museum which was so massive you'd need a least a day to walk around it.

Today we took the ferry over to the North Island from Picton. The ferry took 3 hours! But luckily they had an on board cinema and we watched Kingsman free of charge. In the evening we went for a curry and to a retro bar for some very cheap drinks

Today 8 of us went quad biking in a place called Happy Valley. We had a blast! We then got the option to go on the 3k skyline which got up to 80kph! They staff were so awesome they tricked us into going on it twice for the price of one. Later that afternoon we had a top deck game of football! I need to do some exercise when I get home! In the evening we all sat around drinking and playing cards against humanity.!
