Hi there folks. Just checked in to a crazy hippie backpackers hostel were we are stayin ; wait for it - in a teepee ! We didnt book anything in advance and the places were so dear we have had to resort to staying in a love shack most commonly found back in the swinging sixties ! I am half expecting haiwatha or some sioux indian to come in tonight and murder us ! We got here about dinnertime after a 15 hour bus ride from Sydney. Within two hours we were competing in the inter hostel footy competition in scorching heat. We did quite well and reached the final. We were sloppy at the back however ( i have been quite literally for a few days - not that u wanna know that ! ) and the brazilian enemy took advantage. To be fair they were the best players on show , although we had more chances in the game.
Just gonna get ready and head out for a discount 2 dollar ( thats about 80p ) rump steak dinner ! We aint even in Thailand yet - wots goin on ! Probably gonna stay here for the best part of a week as it has got a bit of a party vibe about it. Keep ur messages floodin in - always nice to hear from u all. Sorry Kerry for leaving u in the lurch with the swedish mentalist. I didnt want him to contact u (honest!) but i was so scared of him , i wasnt willing to stop him ! He looked like jack nicholson except scarier - if that is possible. U gotta admit he was pretty funny - bet u were wettin yourself ! Big hello to Kath - quite worried about your son. One minute he swears he will never go in the sea - next minute he is takin on massive waves about 500 yards from shore !We had a great day yesterday in the sun. Went out to a bar last night and met a couple of self proclaimed international water polo stars - wow ! Sorry sarcasm isnt one of my best qualities.
Sharing a dorm with 5 girls who are quite hot - but they are mormons. ie no drinkin or having anything to do with the likes of me n dill! They are really good to talk to however and we have had a laugh with them. One of the girls is quite scary as she is a hunter back home and likes to carry knives - really big knives ! Obviously we dont plan on upsettin any of them with all the weapons they seem to have hidden in the room. Gonna go now and grab some food. Love u n leave u Chappy x

Hi James, Hi Chappy....hope ur not too sweaty guys........keep drinkin plenty and rinsin ur undies regularly to keep cool and fresh !!!!!!!!! Bet Bondi is brilliant...have u tried surfin yet??? thats the life........bit bigger waves than Cornwall I bet James??? News hereis that Laura had her first drivin lesson today and survived even though she was quite nervous and I might have a bit of casual work in the pipeline...I'm gettin quite used to being a lady of leisure but then again anythin to get away from day time tele..its doh!! glad you have met up with some other guys who live there cos its always much better with people who know a place inside out ...you get to see some of the non touristy stuff as well.

Hi there everyone ( g'day momma !) Had a brilliant day today touring Sydney and taking pictures of the opera house and the harbour bridge. Went out in the morning dressed for summer then it pissed it down ! Luckily it brightened up and ended up a scorcher - much to my tans delight ! In the afternoon i went with a couple of guys we met in the USA , but who live in Sydney , to Bondi beach and the surrounding area. This place really has to be seen to be believed. Trying to persuade Dilly to stay there for a couple of nights before we move on - he didnt come today as he wasnt feelin that well - it was quite humid today though. Sure he will agree with me if we stay at Bondi. This is probably the best place i have experienced on our trip so far.
We have just been to the worlds biggest iMAX cinema at darling harbour - never experienced owt like it !!! Cherubs and demons right in front of your face as the 3D film takes effect and makes you feel as though you can reach out and touch everything! the film was a bit weird and only lasted 50 minutes but it was well worth the 18 aussie dollars. Hi there everyone - just come off the back of a good nite out at a bar at the beachside. Went to bed about 4 o clock this morning after singing in the hostel lobby with a mental swedish guy who plays the guitar! This guy makes jack nicholson look tame , but he is probably the funniest guy I have ever met. Me dilly, howson, booker and emma ( a lone english traveller who is really nice ) spent the night boogying to an aussie singer. The place was packed to the rafters with what i can only describe as model like women !!!!!! Not had chance to further my charcoal tan as the sun has been in hiding for a couple of days. All five of us hoping to have a bbq on the beach this evening if the weather is good. This is mine and james last nite in the hostel and we are considering going to Bondi beach for a few days. Will keep you up to date of any news Love u all x

in preston you are not missing out on anything everyone is depressed about going back to work and uni after the hloidays. arsenals form is disturbingly bad mate we just arnt picking up points and the game against manu had no spark what so ever we didnt do enough to win the game it ended 0-0. BLOODY CHELSKI are flying still 4th place is the best we can hope for

Hey, glad you're enjoying Aus, make sure you mention The Ashes at every given opportunity! Are you going to do any snorkelling or diving while you're there? Apparently it's great out on the reef! Anyway, nothing exciting happening here - back at work and that's as dull as it sounds.

Great to hear you are having a ball in Australia. Just for info Australia take on Sril Lanka on the 22nd of Jan in Sydney so if you are still there you may fancy a bit of that.
