I hope you managed to find something to amuse yourselves in LA. I know this is months in advance, but before I forget you must go to the Metropolitan Government Building in Tokyo. It's a huge twin 48 story tower building you can go up for free and has an amazing view, the nearest station is Nishi-Shinjuku. The free bit might be appealing if you have spent all your money by then!

Alternatively, if you have lots of money left go for a drink in the bar of the Park Hyatt hotel where Lost in Translation was filmed. Also a good view but very expensive! We got turned away for wearing shorts and sandals...
