Sold my Axe, Just writing to Me mostly now. Can the renewed Passport get here & flights are booked!
Wilmington, California
I can buy a guitar abroad. However, it is representative of life items, I have to let go now. My initial flights are booked and I must have my life paired down to a suitcase and a couple carry ons.
My Mom and Sis, will hold only a few items for me. A filing cabinet, and a few boxes of sentimental items from life, I need to eventually have with me, where ever I land.
Still waiting on my renewed passport, pasaporte en espaniol. Hope it arrives sooner than later, one less worry for me, to be honest.
My Spanish lessons continue through Duolingo. And I recommend this site for any lanquage you wish to have a basic knowlege of, before you travel to desired countries, where it is necessary!
My initial flights are booked. LA to Vegas, to rid locker stored life. Vegas to San Jose, Costa Rica. October, 1, 2021 and the second leg December 28th, 2021 to David, Panama, by way of Panama City.
Now it is a waiting game for me.
I have apartment areas and ideas for cities in Costa Rica and Panama initially to live for me. Costa Rica will be coastal, Pacific Ocean and three months. Then Panama, mountaintous city first, maybe followed by coastal. That will be the first 3/4s of my first year. Panama allows 6 not 3 months entry prior to exit, unlike Costa Rica. And Panama is quite traveler friendly, for those considering expatriation from the US. Chile in the horizon for late 2022.
Nonetheless, my summer and early fall will be getting rid of my acumulated stuff. Because an adventure awaits, I thank my God I can have. Amen.

Nancy A Yount Steve, your plans sound amazing. To pair down to a minimal life is one tough task...but the freedom should be amazing. And your travels...wow! Love how you don't seem to be in a hurry, and will immerse yourself in the countries and communities you visit. May each and every step and stay bring you joy, contentment, and wisdom. Will check in on your blog here from time to time and keep the prayer cover going for you. Of note, Dave and I have old friends who retired to Costa Rica and they are loving it. And then, missionary friends in Chile, and they thrive there! Good luck with ALL, Steve!!
Steve Nancy Yount, thank you. You wrote first. I owe you special references here on out! Lol. My first howler monkey pic will be dedicated to you! As my family knows, I have taken this journey slowly. Very. Much thought and consideration. However now Monday, September 27th? Lol... kiddy and bewildering panic is setting in! But it's all good. Oh my yes.
