Brendon, Hannah, and I left Sicily at 5:00AM to catch our 8:30 flight to Athens.I was still sick and had an ear infection so the flight to Athens was probably the worst one I have ever experienced. I didn't start feeling better until we were all settled in our hostel. We took showers and waited for Meghan and Lauren to join us in the hostel. We all were in the same room and we had one other roommate Paul, who was from Poland. We were all exhausted from the traveling so we went out to eat with Paul and called it an early night.Paul ended up hanging out with us the entire time we were there which I was happy about because it gave Brendon another male companion to hang out with. They actually had really similar interests and chatted away about philosophy and math. BORING!

The next morning we didn't get moving until around noon so we decided not to go to the Acropolis because we wanted to spend as much time as possible there.Instead we went to the Roman Agora where public hearings were held at one time.On our way to the Roman Agora we stopped to eat our first Greek Gyro and it was nothing short of amazing! After the Roman Agora we wandered through a park for a while looking for a structure that we never ended up finding. With Brendon as our guide, we walked around the Temple of Olympian Zeus and wandered around the city before heading back to our hostel. That night we found a café/bar to hang out at, but it was a fairly early night because Meghan wasn't feeling very good and the Metro closed at 12:30.Brendon, Paul, and I weren't tired so we found a place to hang out in near our hostel.

First thing Wednesday morning Meghan, Lauren, Hannah, and I all headed to the Acropolis.Brendon and Paul decided they wanted to sleep in a little so we met up with them later. In the Acropolis we walked around the Herodian Theatre, the Parthenon, Kariatides, and the theatre of Dionysus. It rained all morning but got sunny and hot in the afternoon so after meeting up with the boys , Paul thought it would be a good idea to hike up a large hill. This wasn't just any ordinary hill though, it had the best view of the city and there was a restaurant at the top! After hiking we went souvenir shopping and then went back to our hostel to hang out and get packed up.
