Today I made good use of the public transport and took the trip up to the Australia Zoo. This is the zoo owned by Steve Irwin and his family. The first big thing I saw was the wildlife warriors show in the 'Crocoseum'! There were alligators, crocodiles, many birds of prey, snakes.. They were all really well disciplined and had obviously been well trained! A few weeks ago some tiger cubs were born so they were really really cute to see.. Then I headed to 'Africa' and saw giraffes, zebras and rhinos (they had babies too). I petted a koala and kangaroo and saw other things like a Tasmanian devil and a dingo! :) after I'd seen all the animals I went to the animal hospital they have set up at the zoo! There was a super cute koala that had a pot on his leg after being hit by a car! :( it's amazing the work they do there for animal conservation!
On top of all this I finished my book 'A Thousand Splendid Sons' which is an incredible read AND made pancakes!
Another day full of awesome memories!
