Day 82 ctd - Arriving into Roma Street at 6pm we left the greyhound and bought our weekly train travel passes before heading out to Eagle Junction. At the station we were met by Caetlin and her son Felix who drove us to their home having kindly offered to put us up for the week. Soon we were in a lovely house and ate a delicious dinner of Thai food with Caetlin, Bruce, Felix and their other son Max before climbing into a nice cosy bed. Day 83 - And so we venture...

Day 82 - Leaving Nomads we caught their shuttle bus to the greyhound station and soon our bus arrived and we were watching Sandra Bullock in 28 Days. After a stop at Matilda Roadhouse, where Olivia bought a magazine, we continued on to Noosa Heads. Day 81 - Up early we crossed to the road to meet our shuttle bus and after picking up a few more people we arrived at River Heads and caught the barge, a chilly ride, over to Fraser Island. After avoiding the sand flies we got on our 4WD bus, strapped ourselves in, and enjoyed the bumpy ride to the first stop of the old forestry camp at Central Station where we learnt about the history of the islands timber industry, walked on the boardwalk by the creek and even ...

Day 81 ctd - Back on dry land we were hungry so Olivia has an Aussie Dog, complete with Australian flag, and Catherine enjoyed her nachos. After some internet time we had to pack our bags (a little tricky in the dark) before heading to bed.

Day 80 - We had a nice early wake up from the VERY noisy birds outside our room so packed up and caught the shuttle bus back to the greyhound stand. Despite our sadness at leaving the wonders of Rockie, we realised we had subconsciously purchased rock related items - Rocky Road Cadburys and Rock Cakes, we must have been missing the place, so ate our snacks while watching the truely awful K-Pax and New in Town.
