I would also point out that the Standard Model of QED as described by moedrn gauge theories and illustrated by Feynman diagrams implies both speeds faster than C and travel backward in time. Admittedly, no experimental observations have been made of either phenomenon as far as I know: but the fact that the Standard Model agrees with observation so well is strong evidence that neither time nor C are rules that apply so rigidly at the quantum scale.
