So we set off Sunday for our 7 day cruise on the Norwegian Pearl, the weather was a little miserable and raining but it decided to clear up when we set sail. The ship is not as big as the last but still very nice being built in 2006. It doesn't seem very busy on here we don't think it is a full cruise, it is the last cruise to Alaska for the season. We heard last weeks cruise wasn't great weather due to a bad storm in the pacific and they could not stop in Skagway. The second day on the boat was a sea day we spent he day exploring the ship, playing bingo, sightseeing outside and having a few drinks. The weather still hasn't been the greatest so the captain has taken a different route through a narrow passage instead of the pacific ocean as it is too rough, he has had to pass into he pacific ocean a couple of times and it is really rough and boat is rocking all over the place. The passage he took was so beautiful with waterfalls and beautiful trees. Today we had our first stop in Juneau, Alaska with a temp of 12 degrees we didn't arrive to 2 pm but we got some nice views this morning of Stephens passage I got to see about 6 baby dolphins while Brett was in the shower then later upstairs we got to see 3 whales while playing bingo then we then 5 more whales upstairs at the front of the ship, none of them breached but we got to see there tails and arm ( one was waving at me I got a photo hehe) Brett got to see 1 come really close to the front of the boat and he got to see its back, he said it looked like the ship would have hit it. We had some lunch then got of the ship, we didn't prebook any tours as we find company's offer them cheaper when you get off the ship. We looked around the cute little town then decided to do a city and glacier tour on the tour we got to see a black bear in front of someone house it was huge, they told us we probably would not see any being the end of the season. We got to the glaciers and got to walk around and take some photos there was few small icebergs floating as well.
We headed back to ship about 7pm as it was getting really cold on the tv it said it was 9.8 degrees.
