Hi Cassie,
Nice to see you made it to Europe in one piece!!! I will be checking in to see your progress. I hope you have a great term at school and look forward to seeing pictures of the area. I've been to London and Newcastle and hope to go to England when a couple of our friends are retiring there soon. We heard you'll be traveling after the semester and might be visiting us here in Hungary???? Lots of things to see and do here and of course you're welcome to stay with us as long as you wish. We have a guest house and the boys can show you around.
Say hi to Billy for us, I hear he is a typical boy and doesn't like to write!!!

Wow! You've been busy! Are the girls that are on your floor from England - or are they exchange students from other places? I'm happy to hear they've sort of taken you under their wing! It's always nice to have someone who already knows the ropes to show you around.
I hope that you like the professors as much as your classmates. Sounds like you are in for a great semester!
love,
Donna

It's me again! Just wanted to let everyone know that I got a message from Bill and Cassie regarding the first leg of their trip. Here it is:
"Hey Mom, it's a little past 10pm Cassie and I are in Toronto Canada, we landed our last flight. We're standing next to terminal 178 about to check in for our next flight. Grabbin' a snack real quick, just letting you know we landed - I'll call you again later when I'm in London! bye bye"
He sounded happy and very relaxed - so I'm sure everything is going as planned. They should be arriving in London about 6am our time. I'll keep you posted.
love,
Donna

What a day!! We got Bill to the Tip O'neil building at 9:30 in the morning and after several stops and lines, people watching and $150 later, we found out at 11:30am that Bill's new passport would be ready to pick up at 3pm. So we set out for a walk to "The Fours" for lunch, and were only able to kill about an hour and a half before we were board enough to set out again for another walk. We ended up in a nice little "park" on Temple St. right accross from the entrance to Suffolk University (a law school) and we sat on some very cold metal benches for a little rest. Then we walked around some more and decided at 2pm to have another lunch at Fenagle a Bagle on the edge of the Mass General Hospital complex. We went into the Mass General Yawkey Building to the 10th floor to enjoy the view of Boston (highly recomended for anyone looking for a free view of Beacon Hill!). We were back at the passport office for 3pm and Bill was the happy recipient of a new passport! We got to the airport in plenty of time for the international flights, and were able to meet up with Cassie and her family with the first 10 minutes of being there. We waited with the kids for more than an hour because Air Canada didn't need them to check in early and recomended that they wait till 30 minutes before their flight to check in because there really wasn't enough seating at the gate after passing through security! No lines, no waiting - and a quarter of the price too! Next time we fly to Europe, we are going with Air Canada! Anyway, we left the kids there and I'm sure they are in the air now. It's 7:46 pm and we are back home in Salem - a 12 hour day for us - but it will turn out to be a 24 hour trip for Bill. Hopefully traveling will be non eventful from here on!
Love you both!
