Got up and lay around the poool for a couple of hours, got ready, picked up the car and headed to the airport for 2pm flight back to Honolulu. We were sat at the very back of the plane right next to the engines . I think Honolulu must be a more challenging airport to land in , and it seemed as if the engine noise was going up and down, and the plane dropping and slowing in a way I had not experinced before- To be honest it was a little unnerving- Myles was past himself as he is not the best traveller in the world at the best of time. We landed safely however.
We got a Taxi back to the Wakiki Parc and we were both given a box of Chocs and a free upgrade to an ocean facing room with balcony , so we had a pre drinks party as its the kids last night. Music , beers and then we headed out to the Cheesecake Factory. The concierge had called ahead and made a "call ahead" request which he said would push us up the wait queue. I'm pleased he did as the wait was 75 mins and we got in in 35. Kids tried to order drinks , but were id'd - USA is the strcitest place I know for this. Meal was brilliant- this could be the next franchise to hit the UK! Finished off with an Amazing salted carmel cheescake and waddled out for the short walk home.
NAomi checed her flights and said " I dont want to alarm you dad but my BA app does not show any flight for us from Dallas to Heathrow!"
I rang BA and 30 mins later had it sorted- they bloody keep chopping and changing the flights all the time.
Linda is now past herself with worry for the kids as we fly off to Aus tomorrow , leaving at 9 am- kids dont start there journey until 9 pm!
The kids havd been so much fun and are really growing up, great company, lots of craic - really proud of them. I might even miss them a bit ( but dont tell them that!)
Tomorrow Aus !
