Woke to the noises of the jungle - feel at peace at a place like this. This is the view from my bedroom window this morning- not too shabby

Back to our room - which is amazing - sitting area, huge bed, en suite and a door that leads us up the stairs to our own patio area with magnificent views over the jungle and river. Quick shower and off into the library , drinks, then great meal.

Arrived at don Puerto bemberg lodge - a boutique style lodge - 14 rooms only. The staff came out to meet us and served us a lovely mango and pineapple drink picked from the grounds which was lovely. Set in 6 acres of jungle - swimming pool,60 metre watchtower to spot the wildlife, beautiful flowers everywhere, an an exquisite viewing jetty - views over the huge river , jungle- and ohh yes - a telephone to call the bar to send us a beer down - sat and watched the...

Walked around the corner at the entrance to the falls and hit by the stunning views. Now voted one of the new 7 wonders of the natural world - I can see why. Hundreds of waterfalls - including the largest known as " the mouth of the devil"- awesome . Igasu means I( big) gasu ( river). Walked the 1.5 km along the track to countless vantage points-countless butterflies of all colours that scattered the route, birds and I even got a picture of a monkey in a tree ...

Up early,breakfast- major panic when we couldn't fine visa forms - Linda had tidied them away into the cases we were leaving in Rio! Driver took us to airport - plane on time and arrived to blazing sunshine and excellent views of the igasu rainforest and river . Picked up by guide and take into the Brazilian side of the national park. Stopped and had pictures taken in among thousands of yellow butterflies all around us- surreal!
