Anne's Blog, "not doing the ARC" Having made the decision not to do the ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers) I looked for accommodation on the island. Sunday 26th October to Sunday 16th November 2008 Rachel and Chris caught the 08.15 train to Faro and their flight home. It was excellent having them here and rediscovering old haunts. After they left we sorted out the boat - much needed, and had Andy and Pam (Port Edgar) and Bob and Loretta (Largs) round for drinkie-poos and then all out for dinner. 23rd October 2008, Lagos, S Portugal Well - where was I! Actually sitting in a warm bath in the hotel in La Coruña and I found one of those lumps a lady dreads most. So stop everything, flight home, get checked out, everything ok, flight back to Lisbon, upwards and onwards. Phew! Willie and Jonathon both got their respective flights from La Coruna although Willie was a bit tight since he got up an hour late, forgetting to adjust his watch to Spanish time.
