Day 3--packed up and back home. Got my fire last night...nothing like a fire to lower my blood pressure (as long as it is contained and in a fire ring.) Woke up freezing this morning; took a while to figure out how to work the furnace, but when we finally did, it was great. Shut down only took about 1/2 hours. Day 2: Woke up with killer sinus headache and not the best night of sleep. Should have held out for the queen-size bed. Was really sick; tookk some medicine, took a shower at the shower house, and hit the hay for a couple of hours. Definitely feeling better. Hooked up the sewer hose; was too small. Well, it is May 8th, and my birthday. We are at The Last Resort Campground and have had one meal and one argument already. Things were going pretty well. May have an issue with the exterior propane valve...when it is half way on, it leaks, but doesn't seem to do when it is on all the way. Getting ready for the trip tomorrow. Took forever to get the mattress put in and the bed made. Because our driveway is unlevel (very much so), it was impossible to level out the camper, so no way to get the water tank to fill properly. While trying to 'level' out the camper, I managed to back the darned camper into the house and put a serious crease (the size of the ladder on the camper) in our gutter on the front porch. We are back. Though the weather sucked, we were able to check out some campgrounds and found one we especially like...Foothills RV Park, just at the foot of the mountain. What an awesome place the Smoky Mountains are! Weather looks good for next weekend!!! Just hope it doesn't change for the worse.
