Went for a walk out of hotel last night. Almost got run over. Getting used to traffic on wrong side of road. Dark, full of holes, breaking an ankle quite likely. K. positively terrified. Landed safely. Long line at immigration. Hot, humid, stuffy. Two power outages while waiting for baggage. Long wait. Prepaid taxi to hotel €2. Sweet. Carriers fighting for tips. Bags placed on roof rack - no bungee cords, nothing. "not gonna fall? no sir!" Taxi driver clueless as to hotel location despite exact address. Asking for directions a dozen times on the way. Switzerland. Efficient. Clean. Boring. Funny German accent. If it weren't for Polanski and the golden teeth from WWII death camp inmates deposited in the vaults of their banks, one might even say: harmless. Hotel cheap but decent. A/C insufficient for the unusual heat wave. Sweaty all night. To make things worse late night mi goreng gave me indigestion. And that's even before arriving in India!

Do parku Gunung Gading też da się dojechać transportem publicznym. Ale nikt nie wie skąd, dopiero na terminalu City Link odesłali nas na tzw. terminal 3.5 miles, kilka kilometrów od miasta. Żeby zdążyć na 8.15 (następny dopiero o 11) musieliśmy znowu wsiąć w taksówkę (17 ringitów). Po półtorej godzinie autobus wysadza w Lundu, a stamtąd trzeba przejść 2,5 km. Ledwie rusz...
