It was so nice this week not to do much more than relax on the beach, in the glorious sunshine, eat and drink until our heart's content. Being in Goa felt like paradise, especially in comparison from the continuous hustle and bustle of North India. All the restaurants and shops in Palolem were excepting old currency until the 24th November (the day we leave) which meant our week would be relatively pain free with regards to paying for things. Today we were making our long awaiting journey to Goa! We had both been looking forward to getting to a nice beach with a cocktail and beer in each hand for a while. City hopping had definitely been an experience but we were ready for a change! We got to Jaipur airport early to see if we could exchange our old notes. After a quick explore around the Jaipur Fort, we headed back to the textile store to try on our new garments. Matt was over the moon with his Kutar but my trousers were too baggy, so much so they looked a tad masculine so the tailor said he would alter them again for me. Another early start and another long drive, this time to the largest City in Rajasthan, Jaipur. After the 6 hour drive with our good friend Khan, we arrived. I was desperate for the best shot of the Blue City that Jodhpur is famous for, that's the main reason we came. After breakfast of delicious honey and lemon pancakes, and sending off another load for the laundry, we headed into the main bazaar in search of ATMs. In one street alone we found 8 ATMs, all of which were out of money. We looked for a bank to go into but they were all closed. We were then told by the locals that banks were closed on Mondays... just fab!...
