Greetings from Cape Town. Can any city in the worrld have a more spectacular back-drop than Table Mountain? The first week has whizzed by in glorious sunshine and high temperatures. Have done the "must do's" of climbing Table Mountain (a 5:30 start up Skeleton Gulley). Well worth it as the cloud (known locally as the Tablecloth) was absent from the top of the mountain giving great views over the city and bay. Visited Robben Island (where Nelson Mandella and countless politcal prisoners were held for years) and took a tour of the Cape Flats townships. managed to meet up with Janet and Pete (Plymouth friends) and have been travelling with them across the Cape for the lasty couple of days. Heading off to Port Elizabeth next for some cricket (1st test) before heading back down the coast for the Garden Route. Hope to upload some photos next time. Next postcard in a week or so I hope. Ben
