Phuket, phuket, phuket!!!! what a mere we had here!!! After a disasterous trip from ko phang nan (2 hr ferry - hungover, waiting for bus for 30min, tuk tuk ride to another place to wait another 30min for a minivan, by now running 1hr 30min late, drop people at phuket airport but try to find them a guesthouse, then have to drop another 2 people at god knows what beach - drove around for an hour, then finally our turn to be dropped in phuket town. so a a total 7hour trip from ko phangnan to phuket took 11hrs - not ideal when hungover!!!!), all feeling the full moon party blues, broken still from vang vieng and not getting any better we finally made it to phuket town at midnight. Before we get into the happenings of phuket wel do a run by of our ailments post vang vieng and full moon:

Britt: Conjuctivitis, glass in one foot, rock cut the other foot, sore ear from piercing from full moon party, sore back of head from the slug punch, itchy bites and general full moon depression.

Grace: Lesion on head, cold sore, itchy bites, cut finger, sore throat, olcers, sharp tummy pains and full moon blues.

Abbey: suspected broken toe, bruised jaw from slug punch, itchy bites and actually abbey was feeling quite good!

So we get off the mini van and the streets are desserted but we manage to find one guest house still open, at the point of not caring how much we pay we take a room. 1000baht for the night - bout 40NZ so we werent complaining, until...we get to the room and there are only 2 beds. so we ask for another pillow and she didnt realise we wwanted it for 3 people, so charge us another 200baht for grace to sleep in the crack/slash roll over to abbeys side and britts through out the night. We were not happy!

Morning broke - well 11am it was - clearly we needed it and we packed up to leave to find some other accomodation. Another rigmorole (cant spell) of a mission, going round in circles on a tuk tuk, when we decid b***** it well just get a bus to the airport and get a resort out there as fly early the next morning! We decided we needed to just lax out by the beach and pool and wed splash out! and that we did. 2500baht for one night, but we definitly made the most of the pool! Met back up with Mark and he crashed in our room, so another cosy night spent for abbey and grace snuggled up in a single bed. Went for a yummy dinner on the beach, before heading home to do a good pack of our bags as we had an early start!

Alarm rang at 6am and the shower train began. One last sweep of the room and we were out the door for our free transfer car! We were all very excitted as we havent flown for a long time and was a major upgrade from the cruddy busses that never run on time and are over filled with 10 locals in the aisles! Quick breakfast, self check in and to the boarding gate!

Fair to say we were all out to it before the plane even took off...next stop: Kuala Lumpur!!
