9th We head into the city today to do a tour inside the restored Theatre building. The transformation from a run down building to its finished state is pretty impressive. 5th Not much sleep last night. Its hot, humid and noisy. We attempt to try and work out the bus service here in Rio, and it's a nightmare. The decision is made to catch a bus to the ferry terminal and take the ferry across Guanabara Bay to Centro. Guanabara Bay is very polluted, and would not think of swimming in the water, its brown. 30th Today we head into the old City. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes, and is 10 times better than the system they have in Bogota. The buses are better and so is the ride. We arrive at the centro station and find our way to the Plaza De Armas. This is without a doubt the nicest Plaza yet. The old historical buildings are architecturally beautiful. 25th We are going to have a rest day today. Catch up on some much needed rest. Surprising the huge shopping mall across the road is partly open, and so are a lot of eateries. 20th We start our last morning at Muyuna Lodge at 6am with a canoe ride up the river. It is so quiet without the outboard motor screaming away.
