12C, sunny, mild,lovely colours on trees,wonderful.Wondered why anyone in their right mind would want to leave 'Old Blighty' this afternoon. Raining,dull,miserable,thought what a lucky couple of you are. Anyway tonight we are going to Gunwharf fireworks so you can imagine how excited we are. On the chinese news programme today we noticed that B & Q have just opened their biggest store in Asia at bejing, so could you nip in and get a couple of tap washers for me.

Really chuffed with the rent I am getting from letting your room, although he cannot get a tune out of your guitars like you can.

Thought I should post a little ditty to you all too, thank you for all your messages, I will wait till Thailand till I get Jay the massage he's been wanting as I am too tight to pay 2 quid in China!!!
Hopefully we will be able to post some pics in a mo for you all to see. Today we visited the Forbidden City and Jingshan Gongyuan (Park). We walked for miles!!
Cheers Sal for not forgetting me yet!!! Look forward to hearing more from you all. Tomorrow we will go to the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace, then Sat we will walk the Great Wall!

Hello everybody, thanks to everybody who remebered my birthday, it was very nice to read those messages. We visited Tian'an men square on my birthday and got chatting to two chinese people who took us for a traditional chinese meal (translates as Hot Pot, but nothing like the pikey Iceland hotpots!!) we also tasted different flavoured chinese teas. (I have a present for you Kay coming soon.) We then went onto a bar where we sat on swinging chairs and drank the local beer over looking Tian'an men square all lit up. It was a great experience and a great birthday. Love to everybody, and keep those messages coming. Love Jay and Neil. Zaijian!! (bye)
