On 22nd November 1963 JFK was visiting Dallas to promote his planned 1964 election campaign. His cavalcade with him, Jackie & Senator and Mrs Connolly were in the lead car. Security staff in the second car and Lyndon B & Mrs Bird Johnson in the third car. As the cavalcade turned of Elm and proceeded down Houston three shots rang out, at 1230 pm. As we all know some 30 minutes later JFK was declared dead and Lyndon B Johnston, the Vice President that day, was sworn in as the 36th President of the United States.
