Day 1
Even though there are not lots of photos and it was a drive just from Vancouver to Penticton. This does not mean it was lacking adventures! First of all Rachel could not believe how beautiful the rivers were. Even though viewed many times before they are just so amazing with the sun streaming down on them. And everything was SO green. BC is beautiful (why are we going to America ha!)
We took the Hope Princeton route which took us thru Manning Park and had a great time with the new lady in the car "Agnus" the GPS borrowed from Mom and DAd. Rachel is officially being replaced by her. She even sounds sexy when giving directions. What was neat was to see how close we were from the US border while driving thru the park. As we came around one corner we discovered a logging truck flipped over on its side and its log load all over the side of the road. Luckily the driver had gotten out and the mess allowed just enough room for us to get thru. WE did check to make sure he was ok and had help coming. But very scary at first as you are kinda in the middle of no where.
Apart from lots of curves in the road and inspecting each motorcycle that went by the drive was as par. We kept our eyes out for Bears which Rachel really wanted to see but what we got instead were two humping cows. Yes that is right....cows don't hump...but Rachel saw it with her own eyes. Not quite good as a bear but its up there.
We are off South now who knows exactly where. But somewhere Idaho ish.
Send pics soon.
Love Bryce and Rachel*
