well it sounds as if you are having a fantastic time even if the only views you got for a couple of days was from the bathroom toilet window!!! you are both braver than me as i pretty sure i would not be able to travel like that in so remote places, but then you are younger and maybe i'm a bit to old and hey maybe wiser(doubt it). Quick message before we leave for Italy tomorrow. All packed and ready to go! Over 2 weeks off work and
nothing to think about for 2 whole weeks. I hope the weather behaves itself. It looks like Italy has thunderstorms at the moment. Mind you they will be warm thunderstorms!
Dad managed to get Lucys decking down at the weekend, just a bit of finishing off to do when he gets back.
We are both ready for a break. Dad will only have a week to work in Rochdale when he gets back before he
starts his new job.
We will try and find an internet cafe in Venice and Lake Garda so we can keep in touch.
Your little parcel from New Zealand arrived today. Thanks for the postcards.

Hola! We made it. Santiago safe and sound. Managed to find a hostel with the help of our 2 new friends, Mark and Jo. We met them in NZ and will hopefully be travelling up to Peru with them. Jet lag set in at about 3.00am, leaving us wide awake. Now its 3.00pm and its a struggle to keep our eyes open. Actually thinking of leaving Santiago tomorrow as the weather is wet and quite cold. Our first stop should be Agofausta (or something like that). 18 hr bus journey up North. We are very very happy our dinner was a roast beef sandwich and a beer and it only cost 99p!! think we^re gonna love it here.
