DAY THIRTEEN/FOURTEEN
After being extremely tried and getting into our hostel at the lovely time of 1.30am, it was a light start to the day. We were just looking for an ATM when we came across this massive shopping centre called Times Sqaure! it had over 10 floors, and still wasnt the biggest shopping centre! As we were hungry we mooched around for some food, but we found something WAYYYYYYYYYY more exciting.....A THEME PARK!
It had all these rollercoasters and cool fair rides inside the shopping centre. We spied the best ride which like kids we ran to first. Because the place was dead as everyone was at school or work, we pretty much walked straight onto all the rides. We actually made two frieds called Alicha and Neve, who have lived in malaysia there whole lives but both spoke next to perfect english. We them went with them FINALLY for some food after getting bashed around on the bumper cars and then spun millons of times on the "DNA mixer". We ate at a place called chicken rice, and i think is obvious what i actually ate, so dont need to explain!
Neve offered to pay but we refused..yet he still payed! what a lovely chap! Alicha suggeted to have a look around china time, so we walked to the monorail and a ticket is like 20p, absolutly amazing!
Strolling around china town, there were makes such as tiffany, gucci and raybans! but everything looked real! it was crazy but so good, i didnt buy anything though, wish i did!!
Neve had to go to work and said that he would meet up with us later to have dinner together. Alicha agreed to show us the patronus towers. we got more monorails and then walked through about 10 different shopping malls. We walked out towards this beautiful fontain and Alicha asked us to look up, and right behind us were the Twin Towers! they were awsome and so high! it was really surreal becasue it looked like it had been painted in the sky. dont ask why it just did! after taking about a billion photos of these magnificent towers, Alicha took us home but the long way so we could see extra bits of the city. Alot of the things we saw were related to chinese new year and how its the year of the rabbit!
Once we got home we showered up and then as we were on the top floor we could enter the roof, from our surprise this puppy huskie (3 months old) ran out and jumped on us, as if to say "yayyy i have friends" for the next few hours, this dog called "blaze" was my snuggling buddy and i would give him attention because i dont think the owners had time too!
Neve met us at the hostel and we walked round for a bit, he found this really nice cheap food, that was so nice and spicy. oddly neve ate with his hands, but he said we were weird for eating with forks but there you go!!
We then went to the towers again where we saw them at night and tried to pursuade the guards to give us a free tour of the bridge and they said if we go back tmoro we can get discount! The day ended with me going to bed because i was still tired and matt having a casual beer with neve outside the hostel.
The next day was rather manic as we had a plane, which had cost us 5 pounds, to singapore! once we had booked a taxi and was on our way to the airport i felt de-stressed until, at the terminal we found out he had taken us to the WRONG terminal! i absolutly paniced as they told us the other terminal was half an hour away and i was convinced it would be shut by the time we got there. but the airport transported us bu limo alll the way to the other airport...nice!
After a brief flight which felt like 10 mins, me and matt managed to go into the cockpit and sit in the seats and wear the headphones whilst taking pictures!
We arrived at Singapore where we realised we hadnt actually booked accomodation, but luckily there was a mcdonalds that had free internet, the only trouble was each session would run out in 10 mins.
So we quickly went onto the internet, and booked a good hostel and jumped into a taxi which took us straight there.
Love you loads, Bluebell xxxx
