Ok I think we left you as we were preparing to embark on a mission of a walk up to a hut in the middle of nowhere. The lady who sold the idea had obviously not realized how f***in hard core we are because the walk up, although a solid 2 hours wasn't that bad, there were no rivers to cross, no one was dying on route which may have caused us the dilemma of saving them or summating and there were no cliffs to climb...Even the mountain 'hut' was cozy, running water ...

OK so the hitch hike mission to queenstown went t*** up so we ended up getting the bus, thankfully queenstown is a much nicer place than stinkin dunedin. Taking the bus drivers advice on hostel we met some amiable characters who we decided to watch the rugby with down in a nice and very cheep bar in town. We are now in Dunedin, a few hours drive south of Christcurch. It is pretty miserable weather, frezing cold and pissing it down with rain. This, however was not going to dampen our spirits! With grit and determination we decided to hitch a ride to the peninsula, about 25Km out of Dunedin, which as a point would provide spectacular views, in the summer, ha ha. We wernt waiting for very long before an Aussie couple picked us up on the main road to the peninsula. ...
