I have to say that I really love the architecture of the smaller terrace houses you see in Sydney and Melbourne. With their wrought iron gates and balconies, all flaking paint and Victorian patterns, they line the streets like old relatives sitting out on the pavement gossiping and shaking their liver-spotted fists at the 'young people'.
