22 weeks. 8 countries (almost nine if you include our near miss going to Burma). And now, we are finally back home. We finished our amazing journey with a tour of the West Coast of the United States. We hit several places including Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Santa Monica in Los Angeles. This has definitely been an adventure we will never forget. We got off the catamaran in Moorea around a half hour after departing the port in Papeete. This island is much more rustic, sort of like a Kauai to Hawaii's Oahu. We had arranged for transportation, and after a little bit of searching we found her. We loaded up the van, and were taken to the Moorea airport, where we waited to pick up another couple who flew in (fancy, fancy). We got up pretty early, grabbed breakfast, and said farewell to Australia. We now fly to Tahiti, and in a fun turn of events, we cross the international date line. We will leave on the 16th and arrive in the evening of the 15th in Tahiti. Next stop - Tahiti and the capital city, Papeete.

We woke up and went for an early morning boat tour of the harbor, courtesy of Bev's foray to the Sydney Park Hyatt our last time in Sydney. A Sydney native we met in Vietnam, Peter Gubanyi, met us for a custom tour of Sydney. He took us to Bondi Beach, where we had breakfast at a little diner/bakery that he loves. Tahiti here we are! I had wanted to go somewhere like Tahiti, Fiji, the Samoas, or something on that order, and Bev begrudgingly obliged. She understands my insatiable thirst for conquering new countries. :) We arrived at the airport in the early evening and grabbed a cab to the hotel.
