Boreak offered his services to us, and we accepted. He took us around the museum and told us his story. Basically, he picked up a mine and blew his hand off. The doctors in the village were so bad, that they ended up amputating bits of his arm until most of it was gone. There were many more stories like these posted in the museum, including the story of one boy who stepped on a mine and lost a leg. When his brothers heard the explosion, they ran back to help him, and they both were killed by landmines in front of his eyes. We can't begin to tell you how much suffering this country has seen.
