All these pieces are numbered per the original restoration work of the French. These are just a few of the many pieces that still need to be put back into place. Note the round holes. These are where workers placed large wooden dowels to move the stones into place. Once in place, they sawed off the dowels. The wood has since rotted away, leaving these holes.
