Ladies walk all around Vietnam with bamboo poles across their backs, carrying two baskets on either end of the pole. Sometimes they sell fruit. Sometimes they sell veggies. Often, though, they have complete kitchens on their backs. In one basket they would have food, say a soup or noodle dish in a pot. And in the other basket they would have dishes, silverware, and dishwater. They stop and whip you up a meal. When you finish, they clean the dishes, and off they go again.
