On the opposite side of the temple, it looks exactly like this. The steps lead up to the main sanctuary, where the Emerald Buddha is surrounded by beautiful gilded decorations. This is a holy spot for Buddhists, and we were required to sit down, feet behind us, and pay respects in virtual silence.
