Hey everyone! We thought that we should run an update of our progress since we last blogged. A few things have changed!

We are now renting a room from a great couple of a similar age to us & with similar interests & personalities so we are happily settled here, just a stone throw from the City Centre, the night life, the beach, the supermarket & everything else you could ever need. It's incredible.

The day obviously had to come when we would enter into employment. We are pleased to report that both of us are now working, Carly for an energy company on a 9 month contract & I am working at Department of Conservation as a Business Services Officer. I get to do filing & all the other fun things in an office environment. The payslips have just started rolling in so it's all worth it in the end.

We have been doing a lot of fun stuff since we arrived. I'll write a list as I'm too shattered to be going into full details now so apologies in advance:

Rode the cable car to the botanic gardens

Watched Ed Sheeran in concert - Incredibly good night!

Eaten a lot of great food in some awesome bars & restaurants

Walked....A LOT!

Met up with Mel twice, a friend of Carlys dad

Taken in the weekend produce market

Enjoyed an entire month of continuous sunshine & 20+ temperatures

Booked to watch the new Wizard of Oz movie in 3D in Gold Class

Booked another gig for Thursday, to see 'Passenger'

We have been talking holidays already because that is what we do best. Nothing is certain just yet but we need to have holidays booked to feel as though working has a purpose! It's always been our mindset & there is no intention to change it just yet!!!

We are seriously enjoying ourselves in Wellington & it's certainly our favourite capital city, if not our favourite city anywhere in the world! Walking to work in the sun, walking home in the sun (occasionally stopping for a cider or two) & enjoying a new aspect of city living. A really nice surprise for me especially, although we still don't think London or Bangkok is for us!
