After another long overnight bus journey we arrived into Byron Bay feeling a little dazed! We checked into our hostel which was located above the Dive Centre so we could see people having dive lessons in the swimming pool below. Byron Bay is a very chilled out little town, right on the coast. When we arrived we wondered why everyone was walking so slowly, but after a few hours we too were sauntering along without a care in the world!
We had absolutely gorgeous weather while we were here so we spent a lot of time at the beach, lying on the sand or swimming in the sea. The waves were really big, great for jumping over. On our second day there we hired a boogie board for a few hours which was good fun, although I didnt like missing the waves and ending up right underneath the water...was a bit scary. Ben liked it much better though. That afternoon we also saw a couple getting married on the beach. The bride was wearing a huge pink puffball dress and heels so it was quite amusing watching her trying to walk up the aisle in the sand!
