What come into your mind about Hong Kong? When you circulate this question to a female friend, most probably you may have the answer of "SHOPPING heaven!!!" For a male friend, he may answer "High COST of living and SPENDING place". Kids will be exciting and tell you "Of coz, FUN at DISNEYLAND". If you are asking senior citizen, they may answer you "TIRED walking trip". No matter what, I believe that we will never deny one answer i.e. DELICIOUS FOOD!!!

I have spent few days travelling in Hong Kong with my family. This is our FIRST overseas family trip. It was excited as well as pressure because this is the first time I will be leading a group of 9 members (including myself) aged within 3 to 68 years old in this vacation. It isn't easy. We just need to be patient.

During this vacation, we stayed in Smart Eaton Hotel, Nathan Road, Kowloon for 3 nights. I would like to comment that this hotel is well equipped with facilities (including of rooftop swimming pool and gym), room is clean with bath tub and staff is excellently polite. The hotel is strategically near Jordan MTR as well as Temple Street. It looks new in view of it has refurbished in the end of October 2010. Additionally, it always has early bird promotion discount of 10% to 15% for room offer. We have paid RM280 per night, it seen to be expensive but it worth of paying. No one has complaint on accommodation.

We have spent a day in DISNEYLAND. Kids are excited and adult felt themselves returning young age. It's great and fun. Some may say it is not worth of going with the price roughly RM160 (HKD399). Senior citizen aged 65 above only pay about RM39 (HKD100). However, I never regret of spending a day over there. The park is small but enough for a day tour. There are some program that shouldn't be missed, which are "The Golden Mickeys" (Fantasyland), "Flights of Fantasy Parade" (Main Street USA) and "Festival of the Lion King" (Adventure land). Interesting shows are "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh", "It's small world" and "Mickey's Philhamagic". Before we end the enjoyable vacation in Disneyland, the ticket value is worthy after watching "Tinker Bell Castle Illumination" and "Disney in the Stars" Fireworks.

Another MUST GO destination - THE PEAK (Peak Market, Sky Terrace, Madame Tussauds). Ticket is expensive but must go for first time visit.

There is another place of interest that everyone will go during first visit to Hong Kong, that's is ARENA OF STAR

Well, there are plenty of delicious and tasty foods in Hong Kong. YUMMY!!

The first yummy that I couldn't forget is "干炒牛河".

Many people recommended having DIM SUM at shop called 添好运. However, notably that it is over price as compare to other restaurant nearby and only tourists are queuing for DIM SUM. As such, we have randomly chosen a restaurant nearby. Surprisingly, the price is even lower than the said shop and only local senior people are having breakfast there.

The last and never missed food is local ROASTED GOOSE.

We did miss out some tasty food that according to itinerary. However, I have never regret of coming to Hong Kong for short holiday. It's great and fun for whole family.
