Megiddo, fortress built by King Solomon (1 Kings 9:15), is a site that has seen more battles than any other location on earth. It is also the site of Armageddeon, as stated in Revelations 16:16, 'Battle of the end days', the final battle prior to Christ's return. Armageddeon means 'mountain of Megiddo'

Excavations have unearthed 26 layers of ruins, representing every period of ancient history in Israel. Megiddo is strategically located at the head of a pass through the Carmel Mountain Ridge overlooking the Jazreel Valley.
