There is a tribe that do this to there ladies - they have caught on that it is a bit of a tourist attraction so use it for money making. Intrepid tours don't encourage you to see it as it is cruel. If the husband gets angry with his wife he removes the rings and there necks break as they have no neck muscles. Sad!
