so the last time i added something we hadnt been to the amazing beach yet and it was amazing. meant to be one of top 10 in world and top 5 in brazil. the sand was so fine and someone had told us b4 we went that it was like talc powder and it really was. it creaked like powder snow when u walked on it and if u scuffed ur feet it whistled. and it was so white. plus the whole long beach and the surrounding area was completely undeveloped not even a dock so we had to get a boat to the other side of the island and hike (yes not just a walk) to it. tookn about 20 min half up hill up a completetly unmade foot path. felt like hours in that heat but was def worth it. when we left the island we went to a city (v v small city) called paratay which had a really nice old center 4 blocks by 4 blocks. the rest wasnt very nice but the center was lovely, lots of nice places to eat all with live music and last night we at a place that the new york times had said was one of the nicest in brazil! not sure we quite have got the idea of this back packing and slumming it thing yet?! today we have been on a bus for 6 hours and are now waiting for a night bus which we are on for another 15 hours! have been told they are like the 1st class cabins of planes tho so should be alright to sleep, and havent been bus sick yet! yey! thinking of u all, keep in touch xx
