we went on a fast train to beijing this was the first day train we had done in china. i had a lady eat about 3kg of sun flower seeds oppisite me it was like sitting next to a parrot and lynsey had a girl eatting chicken feet :( yakkkk. we arrived to beijing with the hostel we was ment to be staying in being full so got forced to stay in a double room. the next day we checked out are hostel and into a really cheap hostel which was in fact a hotel. and went to forbiden city. we payed to enter and was disapointed it was just a garden after an hour of walking around we were leaving and as we left through a diffrent exit we appeared in front of a massive fort. this was the forbiden cityhe forbiden city was ok it was really busy and i think we was more of an attraction than the forbiden city it self, we both starting to feel like celebs with the paps chasing us the chineese are like their own speciecs we come to a conclussion that theres the world then there is china. that night we spent the night playing pool and having a few beers.
the next morning we woke up and decided to go to the great china wall we left late this was so we wouldnt be with hundreds of people who all go in the morning. we arrived at the wall and it was amazing we had the wall all to are selfs and it was so peacefull this was the first time we had seen birds in china. the wall had snow around it and all the trees had snow on them which made it extra special we just sat their for 30 mins enjoying the sight and the peice.
the following day we went to see the olimpic stadium the building is amazing its nicked name the birds nest and is massive i was a bit more impressed than lynsey, i find buildings fantastic lynsey thinks its just a building. but its the same in reverse with art lynsey loves art i just get bored. the next few days we just took it easy prepering for india. that night we went to a market which sold anything you want on a stick. we tryed scorpion and snake. it wasnt as bad as we thought the only problem was trying to keep it down it wasnt the taste it was the thought of eatting scopion. we also tried piggin from a guy we meet who was tucking into one. we relised that if you been brought up to eat this type of food its normal. the taste isnt bad its just that we are not use to eatting bugs and its not in are normall life.
are last day in china was my birthday we walked around had a nice lunch a little treat Mc Donalds :) we went to the police mussem which was intresting. that night we got a bit drunk with some irish we meet. the drinks were flowing we had a shesha bong and after a few tekila shots washed down with cheap beer and a few shots of absinth we ended the night shearing the toilet bowl together. it was a funny moment though. the next day we got up with a really horrible head had a big breaky and went back to bed luckly are flight was at 5pm just enough time to recover. now being 21 i have turned into a serious adult and being called an old man by lynsey.
next stop india which we are both so excited about. cant wait for a Curry.
