Thursday 28th September - day 9. Otter Crest scenic loop, Beverly Beach, Cape Perpetua and the Oregon Dunes. Woke today to find ourselves in a beautiful, quiet, wooded forest campsite. Wednesday 27th September - Day 8. Netarts Bay to Beverly Beach. Three Capes scenic route. Woke to blue skies and sunshine after ten hours of peaceful sleep. Monday 26th September - Day 7. Portland to Netarts Bay, Pacific Coast. Rather a frustrating day today it started very early at 4.45 as Chris got up to catch his 6.30am flight to San Diego. Being so close to the airport, we were able to hear an aeroplane take off at exactly 6.30 and imagine Chris flying over our heads. We were sad to wave him off - it has been a magical six days that we have had together and we are looking forward to when our paths cross again ...

Monday September 25th - day 6. South bend to Portland, Oregon. Up at 6.30 and hero Bill did the washing up whilst we enjoyed a cup of tea overlooking the wetlands in the grey early morning light.
