Oh boy oh boy oh boy I am so excited it is my birthday and I got a squeaky toy and some rope toys and mum made me cup cakes yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had party hats and a candle and everything.

First things though we went to Wyndham today to have a look at the town and the port. It was really different from most ports as the water is fed by 5 rivers and is on mud flats. As we pulled into the port we thought that all the boats were grounded as if the tide had gone out but it was actually the colour of the water!!! Brown and murky!!

The place was deserted and looked like a ghost town and lots of the buildings were boarded up and derelict. But we saw the big croc and the lookout and mum looked at the pioneer cemetery while me and dad sat in the car.

On the way back we went to a place called the Grotto. I thought it was going to be another derelict town but it was actually a gorge. After having lunch slurp we climbed down the 140 odd stairs and scrambled over rocks we made it to a beautiful pool at the bottom and guess what!! I got to swim yay it's my birthday it's my birthday!

In the wet season there is a huge waterfall but it was only a trickle this time as we are one month into the dry season. The pool is said to be 300 metres deep I know because I couldn't touch the bottom so I just swam around and around! Dad didn't want to go swimming but mum did but the rocks were so slippery and there was no exit point and even I had trouble getting out! We had the place to ourselves which was so nice for a change!

We got back in the car and drove to another place called Black rock falls and although there was only a trickle of water it was still really nice.

We did a bit of 4 wheel driving and arrived at the other side of Ivanhoe crossing (which is still closed) and mum and dad tried a bit of fishing to catch a barra but only lost their gear on the rocks doh!!

When we got back to the van we had tea and my birthday cake oh yeah then I fell asleep on mums feet phew what a day it was awesome.
