Hi all, just a quick catch up...

On the 8th Pat and I took a day trip up Mt.Wellington in the morning, which was quite nice, except for the cloud layer that masked our view of the surrounding lands at 2500ft!!! still it was worthwhile and we got back into town around midday.

Later that afternoon we journeyed to Launceston in north Tasmania. Unfortunately the hostel we were booked into messed up our booking so we could only stay there the one night! Anyway that didn't stop us having fun. In the evening we went out for a mexican dinner and the portions were so big that I struggled after just the starter!! But in the end I managed to also eat my three racks of ribs too!!!

The next day we got up early.. to check out! Then we walked to Cataract Gorge and enjoyed a day of walking. The gorge itself is beautiful and was worth seeing. After that we walked around Launceston and visited a few bits and pieces.

In the evening we went to the Launceston Festivale, and it was great!! Lots of food and drink haha! Lot of entertainers too and music. All in all, a very good night!

After that we went for a final pint together at our new hostel, above an Irish pub haha! Tomorrow morning Pat and I fly our different ways, but not to worry as I am sure I will see him in Jersey some day in the future for a holiday lol!

Right now we have caught up I am off to bed, speak soon.
