Ahead of schedule 11am waved goodbye to the house, Annette in troopy , I drove my car and left it with my next door + 1 neighbours , the wonderful George and Robyn. Drove to Phillip to fill up with both deisel and wine. Whilst AA (Annette Aitken) filled up both Troopy tanks 140 litres $148. I went next door to Choice Cellers to get the wine, Realised whilst at bottle shop i had left my blue tooth connection at home so back home retrieved it and went on the road again.

On way to Yass 58K googled the public lavatories and when we turned up there was a cleaning crew from the council giving them a big clean, dont know how they knew we were coming!!!!!!! ( see photo album) future re PA)
Both deided we would like a pie with sauce and a diet coke for lunch , found a cafe 4 staff 3 customers!! Ordered the pies 'with red sauce please' the not on the ball staffer said 'whats that'?? so I said 'what's what'?? he said 'red sauce' so I said 'sauce that's red ' (how hard can this be ) spotting the bottle I pointed to it and said 'There lovie that's red sauce' Not a flicker just picked up the bottle and brought it to the table.
So we waited for him to get the pies out of the oven put them on a plate and bring them over, and waited helped ourselves to drinks,18minutes later they arrived 'any thing else ladies????? before i could say a dicky bird AA took over and said no thanks. to avoid any drama because she knew what I was thinking 'this lot couldn't run a bath'' Left partially satiated and falling about laughing.

On to Boorowa;
Called in to see the pharmacist and the newsagent (same person) whom I had never met but is related to a friend of mine and her daughter attends a school in Sydney where my Friend Julia is the administrato and they know each other very well.
Marg was a bit surprised but we had a good chat.!!!

262K later we arrive in Dubbo via Parkes whew we visited the Dish (PA) around 18.00 quite dark and a lot of kangaroos on the verge of the road. Got accommodation at the Cattleman's Country Motor Inn , enormous place. Dubbo has a few very good restaurants, Escence was recommended to us unfortunately it was closed Monday night as were the other 3, very disappointing. we settled for the very large restaurant at the Motel. (PA) Hilarious, was like a bordello all heavy curtains funny lights (refer to photo album), and was full of blokes, those who had Akubra hats and similar took their hats off to eat and those with caps left them on, tells you something doesn't it!!!!!

MENU; steak steak and more stake (no vegans in sight), asked about vege
was told they had the best mash in town, 'very good' I said i'm the mash queen!!!! My scotch fillet arrived all 600g, then the MASH arrived Jesus Mary and Joseph (JMJ) looked crook to me, tased it , indescribable,made with water no salt!!!!!!!!!!!, steak great AA finished it off for me, vege had roast potatoes in amongst the bland and colourless carrotts.!!! When the waitress arrived to enquire about the meal I asked if she had ever tasted it No she replied, suggested she do so before she recommnds it again, why?
was the response, you'll know darling when u do.

Where does the chef comme from???? Germany she said.mmmmmmmm Not a lot of mash in Grmany. By this time they were all looking at us, didn't even ask if we wanted dessert! CLAPPED as we left poor form I thought Small victory in the morning when checking out said was-happy to pay for the steaks but not the promoted mash and inedible vege. wrote out the recipe for Hans and asked the girl to make sure she gave it to him OR no more promotion.
