Arrived in Singapore Tuesday afternoon about 4pm after a long 13hour flight. We then went straight up to the roof top pool for a refreshing swim. Hotel is amazing and the weather is hot and very humid. Then we went out for dinner at a Japanese cafe before going for a wonder around the shopping mall that was attached to our hotel. Finished the night off with a few beers.
Next day we went for a breakfast of Salmon with scrambled eggs and pancakes with maple syrup. Before heading off on a proper tourists day around Singapore City. Including: Singapore Sling with Monkey Nuts at Raffles, seeing the F1 pits, open top bus tour, Lunch on top of Marina Sands Hotel and Shopping on the famous Orchard Road. Highlight would be going to the top of Marina Sands Hotel and seeing the whole City. It took under 30secs for the lift to go up 57 Floors!
Got back to the hotel, chilled then went for a swim in the dark during a distant lightning storm that light the sky up every couple of minutes. Next it was a bit more shopping for some Surf Tshirts and some GoPro accecories followed by some dinner. Chicken Yakatori Skewers!!!
Feeling slightly Jetlagged we headed off to Clarke's (cooks) quay after getting a few recomendations for some Bars. Clarkes Quay turned out to be better than expected, buzzing atmosphere with bright lights. Had a couple of drinks at a bar then went to anther for what we thought would be one more. Prices were high £7 for a pint of Stella, but luckily for us we got chatting to a guy from Isle of Mann. He turned out to be an absolute ledgend getting in severall rounds for us, and sharing with us his travel experiance from when he was our age. Before we knew it the time was 4am. We didnt get in till 4.45am and with a very confused sleep pattern couldnt get to sleep till 6am.
3hours later it was time to get up, pack up our stuff to check out and head out into singapore for some more exploring. We ended up having lunch at a really traditional packed out food centre (think we were the only tourists there) before heading into Chinatown.
Feeling shattered and slightly hungover (Harry) we got a taxi to the airport for our 8pm Flight. Getting checked in nice and early allowed us just enough time for a Head, back and shoulders Massage at the airport relaxation centre. #soundssuspicious.
Then it was time to say Goodbye Singapore and Hello Oz!
