Day 91 Sunday April 14, 2024, Nha Trang, Vietnam
Arrival: 8:00 Last Tender: 15:30 Departure: 16:00
It has been a while since we made our way to a port by tender. This coastal city of Nha Trang is in the province of Khanh Hoa on the south-central coast of Vietnam.
The temperatures are not letting up with a high of 34C or 93F. We have booked a relax cycle and mud bath tour through the ship. Meeting our guide on the pier, it is off for a thirty-minute drive into the countryside.
Arriving at the stop we selected our bikes and donned bike helmets for a ride through the village. One passenger decided not to go because of the heat. We biked for forty minutes with a stop for a refreshment before heading back to the bus.
Our next stop was to the mud baths. I was leery about it as I did not know what to expect. The mud baths were part of an amusement park with water slides. Upon arriving here, we were given towels and bathing suits.
Unfortunately, our guide took pictures of us but never sent them so you will have to imagine the mud bath. The liquid mud came through the pipes of the tub. It was a warm brown colour. Both of us were hesitant to get in but finally stepped did. We were expected to lie in the mud for twenty minutes just chilling out.
Leaving the mud bath a shower was in order before we could go to the waterfalls. A staff member inspected us to see that all the mud had been washed off before we continued. Janice needed to go back to the shower a second time.
It is too bad that there are no pictures of the mud bath.
Our next port of call is Ho Chi Minh City 221 nautical miles away.

mary Ploegsma You were both very brave getting into a bath of mud. There is no way either of us would😉
Martin Hi Mary It is too bad the guide did not send us the photos. We had forgot to take our phones with us when we went to the baths. Yes I was hesitant at first watching this warm blood water coming out of the tap.
