Day Thirty Nine - February 13
Today's port was San Diego once again. We arrived at 07:00 and departed from here at 15:00. We really enjoy San Diego so we were not disappointed to return.
The city is under an extreme heat warning as the temperatures are above the seasonal norm.
Jack, our art instructor suggested that we should check out the art store Blick Art Supplies situated in the heart of Little Italy. There must have been at least a dozen other cruise passengers in this store. Honestly, we felt like a kid in a candy store so it was alot of fun and we purchased a few art supplies which we can bring back to Victoria. Janice also bought more stickers which seems to be one of her latest obsessions - which she uses in her daily journalling.
We returned to the area at noon and found a nice restaurant for lunch called Mimmo's before returning to the ship. We enjoyed really good pizza and prosecco for Janice and a coke for me.
Upon leaving I noticed several ships anchored about 10 miles off shore - 2 Celebrity ships, The Solistice and The Edge and a Crystal ship. All of these ships appered to not be in service at this time. Presently all Crystal ships are under bankruptcy protection.
It is now onto Mexico with a sea day tomorrow.
