Got up at 5:30 in order to catch a train down to Cork. I did a tour of the town which has one adorable houses, all multi coloured. There is a river that runs through it. It is the 3 largest city in Ireland with only 300,000 people. I went to the town of Blarney where of course is Blarney Castle and the stone of eloquence...The was an hour and a half wait to kiss the rock and I'm not one for line ups or germs so I was willing to pass on that. Today I got up bright and early to catch the train up to Belfast at 7. I got to see where the Titanic was built and the ruins of a castle ( can't remember the name now). I had joined a group for a tour of the Atrium. We stopped at the ruins of DunLuce castle. It's a very romantic type of place, with the clear blue ocean and white sands behind it. Then we were off to the Giant's Causway. The rock formations are even more awesome in person....You can see Scot...

It's 5:30 and im ready to go to bed. I slept for abut 4 hours on the flight, so not bad really. I sat next to a man going to Dublin for work...what are the odds that he and I both have Celiac? Funny! When we landed I caught a bus from the airport to Isaacs Hostel downtown. I took a bus tour around the city getting on and off when I wanted. The highlight was St Paul's Cathedral...lovely. I went to the Guinness brewery, it's huge! Lots of men there...I'm guessi...

So the big day is here and i'm here at the airport waiting.As usual I'm very early. I was worried that something could happen on the way here and i'd miss my flight (it's happened before so I am right to be paranoid). I am happy to be finally doing this but at the same time feel a little sad/freaked out that I'm going on my own. For as long as I can remember I've wanted to go to Ireland. The pictures of the amazing landscape and architecture called to me and I knew that one day I had to see it for myself.
