We started the penultimate leg of our journey North early on a cold morning (But not too early to have a hearty breakfast!). Our overly chatty bus driver Jarrod ensured the 8 hour trip did not pass as quickly as it perhaps might have, even given Arun and David's ipods barely lasting to the exit gate of the bus station. After a pleasent stop for lunch we arrived at Mission beach, a farely quite town that seems to only welcome non-locals to partake in one of the many skydives available. We checked in to 'Scottys' , cooked our dinner (Collective Gasp from 3 mothers) and set off on a night on which we were told we would enjoy some stunning live music. After 1 beer in a Grotty bar, filled by local bikers, we caught the first free bus back, put the night down as a learning experience and set about doing some laundry (3 seperate ambulance call outs for feinting mothers).
With money not in it's most readily available state, we passed on the skydive, and instead went Fishing in the sea. This proved somewhat disasterous, as our one 'catch' was crab that pretty much walked into our bucket!
That evening we got on the bus for the final 2 hour stint to Cairns. Finally we had made it, The East Coast was conquerd!
Any excuse for a beer...
