We had a 4 hour coach transfer from Hue to Hoi An today, arriving mid afternoon. By evening, we had both been to the tailors and treated ourselves to some new outfits, ready to be collected tomorrow afternoon! Steve buying 2 cashmere and silk suits (with extra trousers), shirts, ties and 2 cufflinks, for 200 pounds. And I bought a suit, shirt, dress and winter coat for 130 pounds. Steve doing very well with his negotiation skills again!

Breakfast was served, ok we left it until the last minute to get up and there was a shortage of bread by the time we made it to the restaurant. I was feeling some bread so I asked politely for some more.. Can I have some bread please? omelette? No bread please. Rice? Bread PLEASE. Egg?' Arrrrgggh!! Haha. They were kind enough to get some from a nearby shop once a few pictures were drawn of bread combined with some charades!
Then we had until 3pm until we had to collect our tailor made garments from the shops so we hired a couple of bikes to see a bit more of Hoi An, 30p later and we had ourselves some nice bikes to explore. We were following the lonely planet walking tour and shortly decided to just ride with the flow and look around at the sites!! Hoi An was opening up to be a really picturesque town with some nice buildings and a small river running through it. A lot of shopping later, unbelievable prices for clothes and paintings etc we sat ourselves in a café and treated ourselves to a well earned 'fresh beer' for 10p.
Later on, Stacey's tailor presented her with her dress, 2 piece suit and shirt - they all looked very nice indeed, dark grey and very professional looking. All for 80 pounds!! Brilliant. She almost bought another two shirts in there! Then we went to my tailor just down the road and the two suits were perfect and just what I had asked for, it was actually too good to be true - a suit that actually fits me first time as it is normally a whole load of adjustments later that it fits! I could get very use to having a tailor..! Stacey gave in to the temptation in my shop and ordered the two shirts haha. She also picked up her coat that she had designed yesterday - she was well chuffed with it.
The very helpful assistant then whispered a recommended shoe shop around the corner and I bought two pairs of shoes too!! Shoes that fit my stupidly small feet!! Unbelievable. We were getting carried away with the amount of clothes on offer and could very easily have bought a whole new wardrobe each, Stacey was dreaming of designing some Jimmy Choo replica's for them to make, these guys can make just about anything from the just a picture!! Great stuff.

Today we went for a stroll around Hoi An Town, picking up some more souvenirs, some paintings, and other little bits and pieces. Luckily we plan to leave today, as I will blow my travel spending in one place! So we went to post office and had everything shipped home also. My backpack is feeling a little lighter! Steve picked up his shoes he had made, he was well impressed with his black pair, but not so much with the casual brown pair.. but at least he has a some shoes that fit his teeny feet! Our bus was due to pick us up at 7pm, arriving a little later, we were the last people to be picked up, and so we had the very cosy beds at the back of the bus… me on top bunk with 4 others and Steve on bottom bunk shoulder to shoulders between 2 guys! was the most uncomfortable night ever!
