The story attached to this well is that Jose encouraged people to throw coins over their shoulder. If the money landed in the fountain they got a free icecream. Some enterprising children thought they could climb into the fountain and get the money to buy an icecream. This stopped pretty quickly when Jose introduced an electric eel to the pond.
