Dear Anna:
I talked to jo-jo (your uncle) last night. He's following your journal in Taiwan too! He wants me to tell you be extra careful in Rome. He said that a lot people lost their wallets and luggages there, be careful with your backpack too. He'll be here on April 25th, he thinks that it's awesome that you have chance to travel around the world. We love you, and keep having fun and sharing with us.

Hi, Anna,
I enjoy your journal very much, and I am glad that you have friends traveling together now. I think it is a good idea to traval with a bunch of people,so you can have more fun. Croatia looks very nice and maybe you could learn some Croatian dishes since you are "stuck" there. : ) Take care.

Hey Beauty, Croatia looks pretty good. That pick pocket doesn't sound too good, though! Well you can't trust anybody under 52 these days!!! (haha). I think Grandma is right, though, don't get too tired when in public. Take care of you and yours! Love ya

I love you.

Hey Anna,
I just read this article and I'm not sure if you are going to be in Italy during this time period or not but it says:
ROME - Access to over 1,500 state museums, monuments and archaeological sites across Italy will be free to visitors next week as the country celebrates "Culture Week," the Culture Ministry announced Wednesday.
The event, which begins Sunday, April 1, and ends the following Sunday, April 9, promotes Italy's cultural heritage. During that time many sites that are generally closed will be open to the public, the ministry said on its Web site, which lists the openings.
"Culture Week is an extraordinary opportunity to admire the marvelous artistic wealth that we have in Italy and that the whole world acknowledges," Vice-Minister of Culture Antonio Martusciello said in a statement.

So go to all 1500!

Hey Anna!
Thanks a bunch for keeping us posted about all your adventures! It's great to get a glimpse at where you're at and what you're experiencing through your travel journal. I agree with Robin, hehe (about the slavery part). Also, nice pictures ... I was wondering, though, in the picture titled "My new friend Dana", where you claim to be "eating Czech food", certainly that's not ALCOHOL on your table, is it??? Anna?!?! ;-) By the way, I guess it's a good thing you're not traveling to Germany ... I hear people are really weird there. :) Seriously, though, it's very exciting to be able to see/read about your travels! Keep up the good work! :) Oh yeah, if you happen to have time for dropping a postcard in the mail: 5635 W. Camino Cielo, Santa Barbara, CA 93105. Take care!

Hi, girl,
Hichhiking????!!!!!! Are you trying to test my heart? My goodness!
Yesssssss, I might be a little bit over react, and I do know there are many nice people like me : ) out there. I still hope it won't happen again. Make sure you will be the bus stop at least 15 minutes earlier,so it takes away any possibility of you "JUST" miss the bus. Remember, safty is always the first issue. Next time, if you see any weired or scary places like that Russian bar...just leave. Don't stay. OK!
All right, enough lectures. I am glad that you have enjoyed your journey even there were rainning. Here we have so many rain in March and have broken the record since 1906. With this kind of cold and wet, it is always nice to have a cup of hot coffee or hot chocolate and some cookies or cake, isn't it? After you have enough walking, go find a coffee shop and rest your feet then write a postcard to me: 7471 Stanford Place, Cupertino, CA 95014
Take good care of yourself and we all love you.
Robin
HEY ANNA! sounds like you are having a BLAST! i'm super jealous. It sounds like everyone you've run into there has been amazingly nice and it's nice to here you haven't been sold in to slavery yet ;) It's great to be able to read about all your adventures abroad. I'm so excited to see all the amazing pictures of all the amazing places that you've been. Keep having a great time!! My address is: 910 Camino Pescadero #39, Goleta, CA, 93117. And hey, guess who's lab I weasled my way into for next quarter! I'm gonna be working for Kathy! (Better late than never, right?) I'm stoked. Can't wait to hear more about your travels! best wishes! ~Robin

hello dear! man, now i get to see what it's like to be on the other side of this amazing experience. trust me, it's much more fun on your side, but it's still great checking out what you're up to everyday. lucky lucky you! i wish i was hitching rides with families in scotland! =) the best part of what you're doing is how much you are discovering about yourself as a person. i'm really proud of you for having the balls to do an excursion like this!
take care of yourself and thanks for the offer of the cashmere scarf, but it's okay dear, i'm actually more concerned with your back right now. if you don't mind, get me a pin or something really really really light on your last stop, haha.
Hey Anna! Glad to hear you're having such a great time. I saw a Travel Channel special about studying abroad in the UK and thought of you. It didn't mention about hitchhiking though, that must be an interesting experience. And I agree with the person below, you should add some photos if you get the chance! Have fun on the continent.
